The Challenge

Erdwärme Gemeinschaft Bayern e.V. required a website that could support several different audiences. The platform needed to educate homeowners and municipalities about geothermal energy, provide a searchable directory of certified experts, and help member companies attract skilled workers to the industry.

The challenge was to present a large amount of information in a way that remained clear, approachable, and easy to navigate.

My Approach

I designed and developed a scalable platform that combines educational content with interactive tools.

Key design decisions included:

– Creating a searchable expert directory with filtering and map integration to help users find certified geothermal specialists.

– Designing a clean visual identity inspired by sustainability while maintaining a professional and trustworthy appearance.

– Structuring educational content into clear sections covering geothermal energy, funding opportunities, downloads, and industry initiatives.

– Developing dedicated landing pages for campaigns such as the Erdwärme Award.

– Integrating a recruitment section to support member companies in attracting skilled professionals.

– Organizing the site’s information architecture to accommodate a large amount of content without overwhelming users.

Outcome

The final result is a responsive platform that combines educational resources, an expert directory, and recruitment features within a structured and easy-to-manage website.
