The Challenge

The project centered around transforming a completed script about an underrated first-person shooter into a visually engaging YouTube video. Since many viewers would be unfamiliar with the game, the visuals needed to clearly communicate its gameplay, strengths, and atmosphere while maintaining a fast-paced and entertaining viewing experience.

The production also required close collaboration throughout the creative process, ensuring that the visual direction remained aligned with the creator’s vision while coordinating external asset production.

My Approach

Working closely with the creator, I managed the visual production process from storyboard to final delivery.

Key design decisions included:

– Developing a storyboard that established the video’s pacing, transitions, and visual structure.

– Collaborating with an external illustrator by preparing briefs, reviewing assets, and ensuring consistency throughout production.

– Editing the video with a strong emphasis on pacing, visual clarity, and comedic timing.

– Creating custom motion graphics and animations that reinforced key moments and maintained visual momentum.

– Coordinating the production pipeline to ensure the final video remained visually cohesive from beginning to end.

Outcome

The final result is a professionally produced YouTube video that combines storytelling, motion design, editing, and creative collaboration into a polished viewing experience.
